  1. sure, she has the jacket …

but does she have the tribal facial tattoos?

if not, she’s just a poser not a ‘real’ fan

  2. Rock Racing was selling their stuff at a booth during the crit. It was amazing how many people were wearing their t-shirts and sweaters. Do they know who they were supporting?

During the crit (yes, I was just a specator that day) David Clingers saddle dropped off his bike and fell almost at my feet with 10 laps to go. Riding standing up while Toy/United drilled the pace could not have been fun.

  3. Last time I checked their website, it was still not set up to order any R&R swag.

You’d think an apparel big wig would get that set up ASAP rather than wait for a few months to pass

  4. I am guessing the t-shirt, and sweatshirts are a fairly minor part of the bidness plan, if such a thing exists.

  5. Seize the day.

Rock Racing had a huge presence on VS. during the Tour of California. Yet anyone who might have been interested in the team — but wasn’t able to be at the race itself — was unable to buy a t-shirt, a jersey or a henna-tattoo kit with a Maori (sp) stencil for the face.

He’s always talking about ‘the brand’ but he makes it impossible for a guy in Utah like me to get in on the action. I guess I’ll have to wait until the Tour of Utah.

And, yes, I’d buy a shirt — just to wear it to a race and see the reactions. Maybe offer it up as a raffle prize at the top of the Porcupine Hill Climb.

  6. I sent them an email asking about where I could find a t-shirt to buy on their site and in a matter of nanoseconds got this very personal response.

“Thank you for your interest in Rock Racing. We are working hard to get a response your way, but due to the high volume of inquiries, we are moving much slower than our racers!

    We appreciate your patience.

    The Rock Racing Team”

I think I might have some blog material for the next post.
